Family planning changes lives

MSI Asia Pacific

Keeping girls in school

What we do

Access to sexual and reproductive healthcare is a human right. But there are 218 million women, girls and families around the world without access to modern contraception, and  35 million women each year who have to make the decision to resort to an unsafe abortion.

We are on a mission to change that, by providing life-changing sexual and reproductive healthcare services to people across the Asia Pacific.

Our impact
in 2020

Despite 2020 being a year of unprecedented challenges, today there are 32.6 million women around the world who can continue on their chosen path knowing they are being protected from an unintended pregnancy by a contraceptive method provided by us.

Where we work

We are the support office for MSI Reproductive Choices in the Asia Pacific region, providing sexual and reproductive health information, education and services that enable people to choose their own futures. We support ongoing programs in Cambodia, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste, and shorter-term projects in Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Vietnam.

Our history

MSI Asia Pacific is part of the MSI Reproductive Choices global partnership. The global partnership was founded in 1976 around a central mission: children by choice, not chance, and currently works across 37 countries.

Since then, we’ve provided millions of people with high quality, safe services, when and where they need them.
